What you will do

• Edit and produce longform video episodes for YouTube across remote, in-studio, and hybrid formats.
• Create shortform, platform-native videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Design motion graphics, captions, lower-thirds, thumbnails, and other YouTube-optimized assets.
• Lead multi-track and multi-camera editing workflows in Descript, including visual pacing, framing continuity, layout, and synchronization.
• Record and remotely direct host video intros while maintaining consistent framing, lighting, and delivery.
• Manage and mentor freelance editors and designers, collaborate with editorial, social, and audience development teams, and maintain efficient ingest-to-publish workflows.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in digital video production, including editorial content for podcasts and social platforms.
• Experience producing both longform and shortform content for talk-based or interview-driven formats.
• Strong editing expertise in Adobe Premiere and motion design capabilities in After Effects or similar tools.
• Experience managing freelancers or vendors and providing clear creative direction.
• Excellent editorial instincts, news judgment, and collaborative communication skills.
• Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels ecosystems, audience engagement, and content performance.
