Producer, MS NOW Podcasts (Video Production)

Location: 229 West 43rd Street, New York, United States. Full-time onsite role; external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview.

Salary: $93,000–$110,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end production of podcast episodes, from pitching and guest booking through recording, editing, and publishing.
• Research topics, structure episodes, prepare scripts for hosts, and shape the editorial sound of each show.
• Book studios and crews, coordinate remote guest microphone kits, and apply best audio practices with TV crews.
• Edit audio and video cuts, oversee sound design, provide mix notes, and prepare final materials for engineering and video teams.
• Publish episodes, write metadata for digital audiences, and partner with digital, social, and marketing teams on distribution.
• Maintain show calendars, produce bonus content, track performance metrics, and support evolving projects across the podcast unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of audio production experience, preferably in podcasting.
• At least 1 year of video editing experience, preferably for YouTube podcasting.
• Technical expertise in ProTools, Descript, and Premiere.
• Strong understanding of news and politics, journalism ethics, and current podcasting and video trends.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and willingness to work varied shifts as news changes.
