Intern on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (d/f/m) (Fuel Cell)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; on-site at the hirify.global site in Finkenwerder

Salary: EUR 750 gross per month

hirify.global develops and manufactures civil aircraft and conducts research in electrification technologies through hirify.global Central Research & Technology.

What you will do

• Participate in solid oxide fuel cell research within the electrification technologies team.
• Tailor oxide-based ceramic slurries.
• Apply and evaluate coating technologies.
• Analyze the morphology and electrical properties of metals and cermets.
• Use material and electrochemical characterization techniques in a chemistry laboratory.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in chemistry or a similar field of study.
• Have experience working in a chemistry laboratory, including materials and characterization techniques.
• Have knowledge of ceramic, polymer, and metal materials and electrochemistry.
• Fluent English and strong analytical and research skills.
• Be able to collaborate effectively and work independently.
• Availability for a six-month full-time internship starting in November 2026.

Nice to have

• Experience with slurry optimization, thin-film coating, high-temperature ceramic processing, and electrical characterization.
