Junior Scientist Research and Innovation (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Execute research and product-development projects within a product-focused research and innovation team.
• Support the development of early-phase concepts and their practical implementation.
• Process project inquiries during initial contacts with potential customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and interdisciplinary resource teams on ongoing projects.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate experiments, including chemical and preparative laboratory work.
• Maintain regulated documentation and ensure timely, compliant execution of assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in a scientific or technical field.
• Experience in development within the life sciences sector, preferably chemical, pharmaceutical, or medical development.
• Experience with research and development of medical devices, particularly drug delivery.
• Practical laboratory experience, including chemical preparation and experiment evaluation.
• Basic knowledge of medical-device regulations and laws, plus project-management skills.
• Very good German and English, along with strong communication, teamwork, initiative, and commitment.

Nice to have

• Experience with coatings and coating processes, preferably for medical applications.
