Manufacturing Engineer (SAP)

Location: Homer City, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite position

What you will do

• Engage regularly with production areas and operational meetings to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Create and update SAP production routers, including work centers, sequences, standard work, tooling, labor standards, and material standards.
• Support engineering change control and maintain accurate drawings, routers, programs, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Design, procure, validate, and commission jigs, tooling, and fixtures using 2D and 3D software.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly principles to improve production value, ergonomics, quality, and efficiency.
• Plan and execute capital expenditure and process improvement projects with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.
• At least five years of equipment manufacturing experience, specifically involving welding, cutting, and CNC equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, production documentation, tooling, and process improvement.
• Ability to plan and manage projects with manufacturing engineers, internal departments, manufacturing sites, and suppliers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain manufacturing concepts in meetings, by phone, and by email.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels on a manufacturing floor.
