Data Scientist Assistant (Part-Time) (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, with three days per week in the Crystal City office; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The position is expected to run from September 2026 through December 2026.

Anticipated hourly rate: $39–$41 USD.

What you will do

• Contribute to AI- and machine-learning-based workflows using large language models, generative AI, and multi-agent or human-in-the-loop systems.
• Build cloud-based and on-premises applications for market intelligence and other research projects.
• Develop cloud applications and data pipelines using platform-as-a-service and open-source tools.
• Architect, design, and build components of AI applications.
• Use external resources to support project tasks and analyze data outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Physics, or Data Science.
• Experience developing workflows with Python.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and practical applications.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across organizational levels and backgrounds.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required; employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.
• Depending on project work, certain residency requirements may apply.
