Principal Specialist - Strategic Sourcing

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories in alignment with business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including market analysis, RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate, vet, and onboard suppliers, particularly for hard-to-source or specialized components.
• Analyze spend data and market trends to identify cost-saving, process-improvement, and risk-mitigation opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve order, quality, delivery, and pricing issues, and ensure compliance with contractual terms and service-level agreements.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing projects and coordinate with engineering, R&D, product management, finance, operations, quality, and product marketing on new product introductions, production readiness, change control, and product phase-outs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a complex multinational environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, stakeholder management, organizational, and project management skills.
• Experience with contract law, regulatory compliance, global supply chain dynamics, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CPSM or CIPS.
