Senior Network Engineer (Cisco)

What you will do

• Implement, optimize, and support enterprise-level IT infrastructure and multi-tier network solutions.
• Evaluate complex network systems and recommend improvements aligned with strategic network objectives.
• Drive technical solutions, IT best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies across network and IT initiatives.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and oversee small-to-medium project budgets.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert, communicate complex technical information, and mentor global IT talent.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional IT experience, including 3 years participating on project teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Ethernet, wide area networking, routing, TCP/IP, voice, and wireless communications.
• Experience with network switches, routers, wireless systems, DNS, domain registration, and network management or tuning tools.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, remote access, SD-WAN, VPN, load balancing, and wireless authentication.
• Ability to support after-hours activities, maintenance windows, incidents, and on-call responsibilities, and travel 5–10% as needed.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNP, AWS, or Fortinet certification.
• Experience with Cisco or Meraki switches and wireless, Cisco ISE, FortiClient, FortiGate, FortiADC, Infoblox, and Wireshark.
• Global project experience.
