Senior Vice President, Chief Privacy Officer (AI Governance)

Location: Fort Mill/Charlotte, United States

Base salary: $240,000–$290,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and continuously enhance the enterprise privacy and data protection program.
• Establish privacy governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and a privacy-by-design framework.
• Build the privacy technology roadmap and integrate privacy risk management into business processes, products, technology, and customer experiences.
• Oversee privacy risk assessments, impact assessments, controls, metrics, monitoring, testing, and remediation.
• Lead privacy compliance for GLBA, Regulation S-P, state privacy laws, regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries.
• Provide executive leadership for AI governance, data protection, incident response, employee awareness, and privacy-related decision-making.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in privacy, legal, compliance, risk management, data protection, cybersecurity governance, operational risk, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations affecting financial services organizations, including GLBA, Regulation S-P, and state privacy requirements.
• Experience in a broker-dealer, registered investment advisor, bank, fintech, or another highly regulated financial services organization.
• Significant experience with AI governance, responsible AI, or model governance and an understanding of technology applications in financial services.
• Experience building, leading, and maturing enterprise compliance, governance, or risk management programs.
• Demonstrated success working with regulators, auditors, executive leadership, and governance committees.

Nice to have

• Juris Doctor degree or significant experience advising on privacy, data protection, regulatory, technology, or governance matters.
• Experience at a federal financial services regulator such as the SEC.
• Previous experience as a Chief Privacy Officer, Head of Privacy, Compliance Executive, Risk Executive, or similar governance leader.
• CIPP, CIPM, CRCM, or CISSP certification.
