Location: Tukwila, Washington; candidates must reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, California, or Virginia. Washington-based candidates within reasonable driving distance of Tukwila must work at headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; candidates outside the commute distance in approved locations work remotely.
Salary: $189,000–$230,700 target annual pay range; full annual pay range of $146,600–$273,000. Performance-based incentives may also be available.

What you will do
- Act as the strategic liaison between AI innovation teams and governance, legal, compliance, risk, cybersecurity, model risk, and data governance functions.
- Build and maintain enterprise-wide AI governance frameworks, guardrails, standards, policies, templates, and guidance.
- Translate complex AI concepts, regulatory expectations, and emerging risks into practical recommendations for business and technology teams.
- Identify governance gaps, compliance concerns, model risks, and unintended outcomes, coordinating mitigation with stakeholders.
- Support model validation, model risk management, regulatory readiness, and the responsible scaling of AI initiatives.
- Prepare recommendations and decision-support materials for senior and executive leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, computer science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Typically 10 years of experience in GRC, model risk management, data governance, or legal/compliance.
- Experience designing enterprise governance frameworks for AI or advanced analytics.
- Expert knowledge of regulatory environments including NCUA, CFPB, and GLBA.
- Experience with emerging technologies, including AI or generative AI, plus advanced research, analysis, and policy development skills.
- Strong executive communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder-influence skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries, especially financial services or credit unions.
- Familiarity with model validation, data governance, or cybersecurity in financial services.
- Thought leadership in responsible AI or emerging technology risk management.
