Privacy & Security Engagement Officer (AI)

Salary: $107,700–$199,300 per year

What you will do

• Lead privacy, security, AI, and business continuity engagement with health plans or shared services.
• Translate contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements into operational controls and compliance expectations.
• Manage compliance evidence, deliverables, documentation, audit readiness, and responses to regulators, clients, and auditors.
• Build relationships with leadership, operational teams, and regulators to resolve issues and strengthen compliance practices.
• Track regulatory, legislative, and contract changes, assess their impact, and support scalable control updates.
• Support RFP responses, contract renewals, new market entries, and business expansion with specialized risk and compliance expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, information systems, risk and compliance, business, law, or a related field, or equivalent paralegal experience.
• 7+ years of privacy, security, risk, or compliance experience in managed care, payer, or health plan environments.
• 5+ years identifying, analyzing, and communicating security or privacy control requirements in health plan operations, processes, and systems.
• Experience interpreting contracts and regulations, translating requirements into operational controls, and coordinating delivery across stakeholders.
• Experience with healthcare privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws, including HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA/CPRA, and related state and federal regulations.
• CISSP or CISM certification is required upon hire.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• CIP, AIGP, CRISC, CISA, or an equivalent certification.
