Patient Access Associate Specialist (Healthcare) - Part Time

Location: Onsite at Bon Secours - St Francis - Eastside in Greenville, South Carolina; applicants must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform patient admissions and pre-registration, including demographic, insurance, and financial information collection.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, process physician orders, and complete medical necessity and compliance checks.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select insurance plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Explain and obtain signatures for treatment consents, Medicare and Tricare notices, observation forms, and other patient education documents.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service to patients, guarantors, guardians, colleagues, and providers.
• Audit patient accounts, correct documentation issues, and provide statistical reporting to Patient Access leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CRCR certification required within six months of hire; certification is company-paid.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite in Greenville, South Carolina.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
