Senior Product Manager - Reconciliation (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, New York, Portland, or remote within Canada or the United States

Salary: $200,700–$250,900 USD for US employees; $189,700–$237,100 CAD for Canadian employees. Total rewards include base salary, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the reconciliation platform.
• Partner with engineers to understand financial data schemas, transformations, dependencies, and failure modes.
• Coordinate priorities and deliverables across Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and Reconciliation Operations.
• Scale and simplify reconciliation systems, integrations, tooling, and internal platform capabilities.
• Build tools for identifying discrepancies, investigating causes, resolving issues, and reporting accurately.
• Balance immediate operational needs with long-term platform leverage and support for Mercury’s bank charter.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with technical platforms, infrastructure, data products, or similarly complex systems.
• Strong systems thinking and preference for reusable primitives and durable platform solutions.
• Experience independently driving ambiguous work from problem definition through delivery.
• Strong cross-functional partnership and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage near-term execution while forming a long-term platform strategy.
• Commitment to correctness, reliability, and trustworthy internal systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with audits, financial controls, or regulatory requirements.
• Experience with payments, ledgers, accounting, financial operations, or data infrastructure.
• Experience building internal platforms for many downstream teams.
