Onsite Release of Information Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global client site in Chicago, IL, USA

Salary: $15.25–$20 per hour

What you will do

• Process medical release-of-information requests accurately and efficiently.
• Enter request data and manage workflows using hirify.global software applications.
• Organize records, documents, forms, and authorizations to complete the release process.
• Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, and via email according to site requirements.
• Attend required training and collaborate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical record experience.
• At least 2 years of clerical or office work experience.
• Experience with desktop computers, scanners, general office equipment, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Healthcare setting experience and knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to protected health information release are preferred.
