Regional Area Manager

Location: USA, Ohio; works from home. Travel up to 50% within the region is required.

Salary: $150,500–$215,100 USD per annum, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the operations and strategic direction of multiple material processing facilities across the region.
• Oversee safety protocols, environmental compliance, company policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production, quality, cost efficiency, KPIs, and corrective actions across facilities.
• Manage facility budgets, financial performance, vendors, suppliers, and operational resources.
• Build, develop, and lead facility managers, operators, and support staff.
• Maintain customer relationships and report facility performance, operational metrics, and budget status to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in material processing, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety procedures.
• Leadership, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in waste management or energy-from-waste industries.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies.
