Employee Benefit Analyst III

Location: Remote within the United States; associated locations include Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh.

What you will do

• Analyze fully insured and self-funded employee benefit programs for clients with approximately 100 to 1,000 covered lives.
• Prepare market reviews, renewal rate and funding projections, claims utilization reports, rate and contribution analyses, benchmarking, IBNR, and lag analyses.
• Develop plan models, alternative strategies, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Analyze group insurance contracts and financial arrangements, validate carrier renewal rating illustrations, and evaluate claims trends.
• Request and evaluate new bhirify.globalness and renewal quotes, negotiate rates and benefit features, and prepare plan options and executive summaries.
• Maintain carrier relationships, prepare client and carrier correspondence, and participate in peer reviews and analyst onboarding.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and the ability to learn internal analytics and carrier reporting tools.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical-thinking, prioritization, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to perform complex analyses and manage multiple deadlines with minimal instruction.
