Employee Benefits Analyst IV (Financial Analytics)

Location: Remote within the United States, associated with Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Charleston.

What you will do

• Perform financial analytics for large, primarily self-funded employee benefit programs.
• Prepare customized market reviews, renewal projections, funding models, claims reports, benchmarking, IBNR and lag analyses, and multi-year claims reviews.
• Develop plan models, alternative strategies, cost-reduction opportunities, and customized financial illustrations.
• Analyze claims utilization and renewal rating data, identify trends, and recommend renewal activities.
• Serve as a primary carrier contact by requesting quotes, evaluating coverage options, negotiating rates and benefit features, and preparing renewal and new-business materials.
• Write client-facing executive summaries, support sales executives, mentor analysts, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to team training and standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• High school graduation required; a college degree is preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Advanced problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and handle complex tasks with concrete and abstract variables.
