Packaging Operator (Rotating) (1st/2nd Shifts)

Location: Aberdeen, Maryland, USA; onsite at the Aberdeen manufacturing facility. Must work rotating first, second, and third shifts and overtime as business needs require.

Starting hourly rate: $24.92–$28.30 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, set up, and maintain automated packaging line equipment, including fillers, labelers, cappers, coders, case packers, and case sealers.
• Perform equipment changeovers according to established procedures and protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Identify quality issues and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure products meet established standards.
• Maintain inventory of assigned supplies and parts, order replacements, and document maintenance and repair work.
• Support equipment installations and improvement projects while following OSHA and hirify.global safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or two years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills and basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to work rotating first, second, and third shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per shift and safely handle medium physical work, including moving loads of up to 50 pounds with assistance when needed.
• Resume, pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check required.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience in manufacturing or packaging.
• Transferable experience with packaging equipment, automotive mechanics, maintenance, blow molding, electrical work, or machine shop operations.
• Military experience in a relevant technical field.
