Water Treatment Supervisor (Manufacturing Operations)

Location: Onsite in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States. The role may require flexible schedules, alternative-shift coverage, 24/7 production support, and up to 5% domestic travel.

Salary: $109,202–$133,469 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead wastewater and water quality system operations safely, compliantly, efficiently, and according to company standards.
• Supervise, train, coach, and support employees while promoting safety, accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to maintain reliable system performance and resolve operational issues.
• Lead safety incident investigations and present resolutions to site leadership.
• Schedule priorities, coordinate maintenance, allocate assignments, monitor workflow, and manage shift administration.
• Identify and resolve process issues and apply continuous improvement methods to reduce costs, improve quality, and strengthen workplace safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least two years of manufacturing or production experience, or a high school diploma/GED and at least four years of water treatment facility experience.
• Wastewater license is beneficial.
• Leadership experience in a union environment and experience with project leadership, team leadership, supervision, or management are beneficial.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization, organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• U.S. person status may need to be assessed for compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

• Experience using Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-training, cooperation, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork.
