Annual salary: $124,236.80–$155,296.00

What you will do

• Direct daily operations for more than 340 residential units, including reservations, resident agreements, occupancy, payroll deductions, and related systems.
• Oversee move-ins, move-outs, key management, housing tours, resident communications, and community events.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small Campus Life team through clear expectations, effective work distribution, and cross-training.
• Manage daily shuttle service between Janelia and Arlington, including contracts, vendors, billing, and rider issue resolution.
• Oversee furniture purchasing and logistics, artwork programs, inventory, installations, donations, and vendor coordination with Facilities.
• Build and manage the budget, monitor spending, and provide occupancy, financial, operational, and housing market analysis to senior leadership.

Requirements

• On-site presence in Ashburn, Virginia is required due to the physical, resident-facing nature of the role.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of operations or hospitality management experience, ideally including residential, property, or housing operations.
• Experience building and leading a team, handling sensitive resident situations, and managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to combine budget and staffing oversight with hands-on campus and resident support.

Nice to have

• Experience with lease administration, compliance, or property management systems.
• Comfort using AI tools to streamline purchasing and vendor workflows, organize data, or automate routine tasks.
