TL;DR
Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Stress Engineer (F/M) (Aerospace Structures): Developing and certifying fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for major aircraft structural components such as pylons, engine mounts, fuselage, and wings with an accent on structural justification, certification, and production support. Focus on mitigating complex F&DT calculations, correlating full-scale fatigue tests, supporting airworthiness subjects, and advancing design organisation approval signatures.

What you will do

  • Perform fatigue and damage tolerance stress activities for major structural components, including pylons, engine mounts, fuselage, and wings.
  • Prepare certification calculations, stress dossiers, Section Summary Reports, and Inspection Requirement Documents.
  • Justify design modifications and sign production concessions.
  • Support damage correlation for full-scale fatigue tests and mitigate complex F&DT calculations.
  • Participate in airworthiness topics, including OCC activities and presentations to certification authorities when required.
  • Capitalize knowledge, improve processes, support the F&DT community, and develop DOA signature rights.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in fatigue and damage tolerance engineering.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, listening, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented approach and commitment to technical excellence and integrity.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aeronautical structures.
  • Familiarity with EASA and FAA airworthiness regulations and certification processes.
  • Knowledge of Nastran, Hypermesh, ISAMI, or Abaqus.
