Safety & Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role based in Filton, Bristol Area, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Support development activities for ATA28 Fuel and ATA32 Landing Gear systems, subsystems, and equipment, including supplier coordination and flight tests.
• Act as the safety focal point for functional safety activities within the ATA28 and ATA32 teams.
• Generate and review safety assessments and common-cause analyses, including FHA, pSSA, SSA, PRA, fault trees, and quantitative and qualitative assessments.
• Coordinate with systems, structures, certification, procurement, chief engineering, and vendor stakeholders.
• Support new system functionality, requirements cascading, phase reviews, and verification and validation activities.
• Define system development activities, planning, and resource needs within Statements of Work.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering.
• Professional experience in aeronautical engineering, preferably in safety and reliability engineering.
• Experience with safety processes, regulations, and guidelines including CS/AC 25.1309, ARP 4761, and ARP 4754A.
• Good knowledge of aircraft systems and experience managing requirements; DOORS experience is desirable.
• Experience delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders while meeting time, cost, and quality targets.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fuel and/or Landing Gear systems.
• Experience using DOORS for requirements management.
