Stress Engineer (m/w/d)

Location: Manching, Germany; onsite role. Applicants must be EU citizens or eligible to obtain a German work permit.

What you will do

• Size aircraft structural parts, components, and installations made from metal and carbon fiber using FEM, state-of-the-art analysis tools, and handbook methods.
• Perform trade-off analyses for design solutions and structural concepts.
• Analyse mechanical systems and equipment integration.
• Prepare analysis reports and statements supporting airframe qualification.
• Assess damage, develop repairs for in-service aircraft, and evaluate concessions and nonconformities.
• Support manufacturing and assembly lines and communicate with relevant stakeholders and adjacent departments.

Requirements

• Master's or Diploma degree in aerospace engineering or an equivalent field.
• Several years of experience in aircraft structural analysis.
• Business-fluent English and German.
• Mandatory knowledge of standard stress analysis methods, including HSB, Bruhn, ESDU, and Roark & Young.
• Solid experience with stress analysis and FEM tools such as Nastran and HyperWorks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive attitude and willingness to work across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience in stress analysis of pipework or impact simulations.
