Electronics and/or Military Avionics Designated Airworthiness Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany; flexible working arrangements, including mobile working, are supported where possible.

What you will do

• Lead certification, qualification, and continued airworthiness activities for electronics and military avionics.
• Provide airworthiness approvals and exercise delegated Design Organisation Approval and Military Design Organisation Approval privileges.
• Drive certification and qualification milestones by identifying technical, regulatory, safety, and compliance issues and managing associated risks.
• Lead airworthiness-related investigations of incidents and accidents.
• Define and promote certification policies and strategies, including approaches for novel designs and improved compliance demonstrations.
• Represent hirify.global in rulemaking and international industrial standardisation groups, while sharing certification expertise across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• More than 10 years of professional experience in airworthiness functions related to electronics and/or military avionics.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, consulting, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex issues and develop practical solutions independently.

Nice to have

• Experience working with aviation authorities.
• Good knowledge of German.
