Salary: $107,800–$300,100 annual base pay

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and management direction to database administration teams in a matrix-managed environment.
• Plan and oversee advanced database designs for complex processing requirements and future business needs.
• Perform database analysis, design, administration, monitoring, tuning, and production support.
• Ensure reliability, response times, query execution times, and other operational performance standards.
• Evaluate database implementation, backup, recovery, sizing, archival, and cost strategies.
• Advise staff on complex database analysis and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 12 years of information technology experience, including 8 years in database administration.
• Experience designing databases for current and future capacity, operational limitations, and performance requirements.
• Knowledge of denormalization, data archival, sizing, data definition language, database objects, referential integrity, security enforcement, and application optimization.
• Strong technical leadership, strategic consultation, problem-solving, and production support skills.
• Experience in clinical or regulated laboratory environments is helpful.
