Mid-Level SQL Server Database Administrator (SQL Server)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; position associated with Washington, D.C.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and support SQL Server instances across development, test, and production environments.
• Develop T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions.
• Perform database backups, patching, updates, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Support SQL Server clustering, Availability Groups, high-availability, and disaster-recovery environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, performance degradation, and service outages.
• Support data migration and integration projects involving PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MariaDB, while collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience, or commensurate experience.
• Minimum 4 years of SQL Server administration experience.
• Experience with SQL Server instances, T-SQL scripting, SQL clustering, and HA/DR environments.
• Foundational experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and MS Access.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and across functions.
• Must be able to work fully remotely within the United States.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator Associate certification.
• CompTIA Data+ or an equivalent credential.
