Senior Materials Planner

Location: Oxford, England, United Kingdom; in-office five days a week. International travel of up to 10% is required.

What you will do

• Execute system-level materials planning from MRP data for engineering builds and New Product Introduction programmes.
• Publish and maintain daily and weekly build schedules using forecasts and material availability.
• Monitor and resolve shortages, discrepancies, constraints, and delivery issues before they affect builds.
• Manage production work orders and report on material readiness and build progress.
• Source and negotiate with vendors, obtain quotes, agree lead times, raise purchase requisitions, and expedite delayed deliveries.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and vendors to remove blockers from critical builds.

Requirements

• Five or more years of materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment with multilevel bills of materials, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of MRP across planning, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and PLM systems.
• Ability to analyse large data sets and act on the findings.
• Ability to lead cross-functional work, communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams, and respond to changing priorities with urgency.
• Additional export-control and immigration-status questions may apply, including U.S. Person requirements for relevant technology or government-contract work.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Power BI, or Google Workspace.
• CIPS, CILT, APICS CPIM, or CSCP certification.
• Project management experience.
