Financial Analyst (Natural Gas)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; travel between Connecticut and Massachusetts is required, including emergency restoration assignments outside normal work hours and locations.

Annual salary: $87,900–$97,670, plus potential incentive.

Energy company supporting natural gas operations and investment planning in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

What you will do

• Compile and coordinate operational, accounting, and financial information for natural gas rate cases, annual reconciliations, and regulatory plans.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory filings and monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance submissions.
• Develop and maintain revenue reconciliation models and procedures aligned with regulatory policies and company tariffs.
• Produce monthly financial and projection reports for the supported businesses.
• Support annual budgeting and monthly financial closing activities.
• Conduct regulatory research and interpret complex information for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Three to five years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting theory, accounting practices, financial reporting, analysis, and financial model management.
• Experience working with large databases, data files, accounting systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPlan.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license and availability to travel between Connecticut and Massachusetts.
