Executive Director, Responsible AI & Enterprise Governance

Location: Onsite role open to Tri-State locations: Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, or Armonk, New York; Warren, New Jersey; or Cambridge, Massachusetts

Salary: $255,000–$424,900 annually

What you will do

• Drive the enterprise AI governance program, including governance forums, use-case intake, and organizational accountability.
• Define governance strategy, risk taxonomy, classification standards, and controls across predictive models, foundation models, LLMs, fine-tuned models, and agentic systems.
• Lead citizen development governance with safe, auditable boundaries for non-technical builders.
• Build and lead specialists across model validation, guardrails engineering, regulatory compliance, and citizen development governance.
• Establish technical assurance through validation frameworks, red-teaming, production monitoring, and pre-production approval gates.
• Own GxP AI validation, audit readiness, LLM and agentic AI controls, and regulatory intelligence in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and the CISO.

Requirements

• 17+ years of experience in AI governance, risk management, regulatory affairs, or compliance.
• Experience leading AI governance or technical risk functions in a complex, regulated industry and building high-performing teams.
• Technical depth and leadership experience across predictive, generative, and agentic AI systems in production.
• Experience driving GxP AI validation strategy in life sciences or biopharma.
• Knowledge of FDA AI/ML guidance, the EU AI Act, and emerging global AI frameworks.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
