Senior Manager, AI Risk and Supervision (AI)

Location: Westlake, TX or Austin, TX; hybrid work model with 4 days in-office and 1 day working from home. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the listed areas.

Salary: USD $120,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary first-line supervisory authority for enterprise-wide and retail-facing AI/ML, analytical, and rules-based models.
• Evaluate model use cases, approve or deny planned deployments, and identify regulatory, client, and operational risks.
• Develop model supervision frameworks, risk classifications, guardrails, escalation protocols, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
• Translate regulatory requirements into preventive, detective, triage, and directive controls aligned with model risks.
• Establish monitoring, surveillance, scenario-testing, and adverse-outcome-testing strategies for model outputs and outcomes.
• Develop AI supervision policies and training for supervisors and frontline teams while partnering with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Product.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in broker-dealer or investment advisor supervision, risk management, or compliance, with a strong retail focus.
• Experience with Regulation Best Interest, DOL fiduciary standards, communications supervision, and/or money movement controls.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML model risk management or model governance.
• Experience designing and implementing supervisory controls in a regulated financial services environment.
• FINRA Series 7, 66, and 9/10 licenses, or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing AI-enabled or automated recommendation systems.
• Knowledge of model validation, explainability, and governance.
• Experience with regulatory exams, internal audits, and remediation programs involving model or supervisory risk.
