Product Design Intern (AI)

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, New York City, or London. The 12-week summer internship is hosted onsite at the San Francisco or New York City offices; relocation support is available as needed.

Salary: $105,400–$155,000 USD annual base salary, localized according to employee work location.

What you will do

• Drive a real product design project from early exploration through polished, shipped work.
• Design experiences for Consumer, Merchant, Dasher, Ads & Promos, or Customer Experience & Integrity teams.
• Use AI to explore concepts, build high-fidelity prototypes, pressure-test ideas, and shape AI-powered product experiences.
• Prototype and test concepts with real users.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, researchers, and data specialists to identify opportunities and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback while learning from a dedicated manager and design community.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a design or technology degree with expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Available for a full-time internship during Summer 2027.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design fundamentals and user-centered problem solving.
• Portfolio includes at least one case study showing applied AI or an AI-powered experience.
• Comfortable using prototypes to communicate and test ideas, including Figma and AI-driven tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Ability to make decisions, ask for help, incorporate feedback, and iterate quickly.
