Finance Manager (Aviation)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Canada

Salary: CA$120,000 – CA$150,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the full accounts payable cycle including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable, track customer invoices, and oversee collections.
• Maintain monthly budget vs. actuals tracking and hold budget owners accountable.
• Prepare financial materials and slides for board meetings and investor updates.
• Coordinate month-end close processes with external accounting partners.
• Automate reconciliations and reporting workflows using AI tools and scripting.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, audit, or startup finance.
• Must have the right to work in Canada.
• Highly advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models and board-ready presentations.
• Proactive approach to automating administrative and reconciliation tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CPA certification (or in progress) or CFA Level I+.
• Experience with Ramp and QuickBooks Online.
• Background in hardware, inventory, or fixed-asset accounting.
• Interest in aviation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles.
