Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Location: Toronto, Ontario — hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days remote

Salary: CAD 72,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Build the annual budget and monthly and quarterly forecasts across departments and stores.
• Track actual results against plan, identify variances, and flag financial risks and opportunities.
• Assist with weekly cash flow reporting and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
• Prepare financial and headcount reporting packages for business leaders.
• Provide decision support through analysis of historical and projected financial impact.
• Improve budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial systems processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience in FP&A or financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, financial models, and large data volumes.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and use their full capabilities.
• Self-direction, initiative, and reliable follow-through.
• Strong written communication and relationship-building skills with finance, non-finance, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Retail or CPG industry experience.
• Progress toward a CPA, CFA, or CBV designation.
