What you will do

• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to drive financial planning and operational rigor.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning specifically for R&D.
• Evaluate product initiatives and infrastructure investments via detailed financial models and business cases.
• Lead budgeting cycles and analyze variances to improve cost discipline and predictability.
• Build scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards to enhance financial visibility.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis and headcount planning.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Must be based in the continental US.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CFA certification.
• Experience supporting R&D or other technical business functions.
• Familiarity with software development cost capitalization and related accounting concepts.
• Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite or Pigment.
