Founding Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California. Candidates based elsewhere in the US may apply with a concrete, dated relocation plan to San Francisco.

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 USD annually.

hirify.global is an early-stage AI infrastructure startup building an agentic integration platform.

What you will do

• Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime end-to-end.
• Define engineering patterns and standards for the future engineering organization.
• Ship production software continuously while working directly with the founding team.
• Shape system architecture across agent orchestration, durable execution, self-healing systems, and the integration knowledge base.
• Work across the stack and direct multiple AI coding agents while maintaining production quality.

Requirements

• 2–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Completed or in-progress engineering, computer science, or quantitative degree from a strong technical university.
• Experience founding a funded startup or working as an early engineer at a well-backed seed or Series A startup.
• Repeated experience shipping and owning production systems end-to-end.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Genuine motivation for a five-day-a-week, in-person early-stage environment in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bun or Effect-TS.
