Diesel Mechanic - C Tech (Diesel)

Location: Capitol Heights, Maryland, USA

Pay range: $25.15–$34.60 per hour, depending on the locality of hire.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment under the supervision of a lead technician or maintenance manager.
• Complete vehicle inspections, adjustments, oil changes, and fluid replenishment.
• Perform light repairs, including tire changes and basic electrical work such as light replacement.
• Use maintenance tools to identify equipment issues and sources of malfunctions.
• Complete required company training and other assigned maintenance duties.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Certified diesel maintenance program completion and ASE T8 Preventive Maintenance certification are advantageous but not required.
