Sr. Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Gastonia, North Carolina, United States. Onsite position. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Gastonia; relocation assistance is not available.

What you will do

• Provide electro-mechanical maintenance support for the Gastonia Parts Plant.
• Install and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot robotic, PLC, and servo drive controls.
• Repair CNC machining centers, CNC punches, brake presses, progressive stamping presses, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Install and set up AC/DC motors and controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot air compressors, boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, and industrial electrical systems.

Requirements

• Documentation substantiating 8 years of practical experience in industrial maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance, including electrical and mechanical technologies.
• Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and root cause failure analysis.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical tools, meters, oscilloscopes, power tools, cranes, lifts, welders, torches, drill presses, and hydraulic presses.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application; visa sponsorship and existing visa holders are not accepted.
• Must successfully complete a skilled trades test during the trial period, criminal background check, and potentially a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree.
• Journeyman Card and documentation of a bona fide four-year skilled trades apprenticeship.
