SiPh Yield Engineer - Electrical Characterization (Silicon Photonics)

Location: Albany, with work in a 300mm wafer fab in Malta, New York

Salary: $69,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Characterize semiconductor devices and health-of-line electrical test structures to sustain high-volume production.
• Disposition production materials and support electrical test activities.
• Review electrical test, optical test, health-of-line, and inline statistical process control data.
• Analyze variation sources, improve line control, and evaluate transistor variability.
• Collaborate with customers on electrical and optical targets, trends, Cpk, and variability.
• Support process changes, manufacturing ramps, cost reduction, risk analysis, and yield improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in circuit design, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
• Working knowledge of experiment design, execution, and analysis.
• Ability and motivation to learn quickly.
• Ability to work at the semiconductor manufacturing facility in Malta, New York.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Related internship or professional experience.
• Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, semiconductor processing, process integration, or silicon photonics.
