What you will do

• Define requirements, architect, develop, and deploy automation software for wafer preparation, die preparation, and assembly test manufacturing.
• Integrate equipment control, production activity control, MES, yield management, and SPC systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, equipment engineering, IT, process engineering, quality, and yield engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve software architecture for scalability, robustness, and maintainability.
• Lead root-cause analysis and system-level debugging for complex integration issues.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and promote automation best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation, systems integration, or a related area.
• 3+ years of experience with yield management systems, statistical process control, and automated yield/SPC workflows.
• Experience interfacing with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automated manufacturing execution systems.
• Strong software engineering, debugging, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with SEMI communication standards, including SECS/GEM, EDA/Interface A, and GEM300.
• Experience in 300mm manufacturing environments, MES300, or Workstream.
• Experience automating analytics for scrap reduction, drift detection, and process health monitoring.
• Understanding of factory KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, throughput, and yield.
• Advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related STEM field.
