What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair analog and digital industrial control circuit boards to the component level.
• Work with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment.
• Read board- and system-level schematics and interpret datasheets for circuit diagnostics.
• Perform fine-pitch through-hole and surface-mount soldering and de-soldering on multilayer boards.
• Create and implement test strategies for undocumented PCB assemblies and follow documented procedures with limited oversight.
• Document signal readings and test results, repair test fixtures and simulators, and follow PPE and ESD protocols.

Requirements

• 5+ years of primary experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuit boards to the component level.
• Experience with logic and microprocessor circuits, troubleshooting without schematics, and established test procedures.
• Ability to read schematics, apply component data specifications, and perform quality soldering and de-soldering on multilayer boards.
• Understanding of three-phase power systems and high-current components, including systems tested at voltages up to 675VAC.
• Preferred completion of a two-year college, trade school, or military electronics repair program.
• Competence with computer technology, internet tools, and Microsoft Enterprise Office applications.
