Diesel Mechanic/Technician Advanced

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment.
• Service chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical controls, air and hydraulic brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tire work, welding, and fabrication.
• Provide safe road service to return company equipment to operation.
• Use electronic diagnostic tools to identify equipment malfunctions.
• Complete company training and related maintenance duties.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next three months.
• Experience with Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

• ASE T1–T8 certifications.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
