Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R

Location: Onsite at 540 Marks St, Henderson, Nevada, United States

Hourly wage: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

Walmart operates local retail stores and provides facility, equipment, and maintenance services across its locations.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair retail facilities, refrigeration and HVAC equipment, fixtures, and other store assets under experienced technician supervision.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
• Receive reactive repair work orders, respond to store and associate needs, and document completed repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training and operate equipment and tools safely.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling required.
• HVAC/R Certificate of Completion through Live Better U and Penn Foster Career School required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently use ladders, work at heights, and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain an excellent driving record.

Nice to have

• Mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience involving commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
