Senior Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment (Food Equipment)

Location: Greenfield, Indiana, United States; onsite facility services role.

Salary: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00 in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial food equipment, Walmart facilities, fixtures, and assets.
• Service equipment including combi ovens, deli slicers, fryers, ice makers, pizza ovens, bakery ovens, and related grease and oil systems.
• Use plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment skills with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Receive reactive work orders, document repair activities, and maintain accurate work orders and maintenance logs.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and inspect, operate, or test equipment to identify issues.
• Train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning while supporting safe operations and limiting food cross-contamination risks.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification plus relevant trade experience, or six to seven years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Related trade license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, frequently use ladders, and work at heights.
• Ability to complete required safety training and use work order, word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.

Nice to have

• Mechanical maintenance or construction experience involving commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
