Meter Billing Specialist (Diagnostics)

Location: Onsite in Brea, California, United States

Salary: $24.00–$26.00 per hour, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Collect, review, and enter meter reading data from multiple sources.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, anomalies, and errors in meter readings and billing data.
• Generate and process accurate, on-time customer invoices based on validated meter data.
• Process billing adjustments and credits while maintaining required documentation and compliance with company policies and contract terms.
• Respond to customer inquiries about meter readings, billing statements, and usage discrepancies.
• Collaborate with field service, customer service, contract administration, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve billing processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in customer service, billing, operations, or a related business environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, filters, and formatting.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Oracle or a comparable ERP system such as SAP or JD Edwards.
• Experience with contracts, revenue operations, billing, order management, customer support, or data analysis.
