Flight Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Rochester, New York office

Base salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, with 10% bonus potential

What you will do

• Coordinate the assignment and distribution of fixed-wing imagery capture projects.
• Communicate with internal and external flight suppliers to support safe, efficient execution within product specifications.
• Track workload progress, analyze fleet capacity, and rebalance assignments to improve capture success.
• Coordinate pre- and post-capture activities, fleet deployment, asset decommissioning, and supplier performance metrics.
• Maintain daily production reporting and coordinate access to controlled, prohibited, and restricted airspace.
• Support flight logistics for testing, validation, research and development, and disaster response programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Imaging Science, Business, Communications, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in scheduling, logistics, or GIS.
• Ability to prioritize, adapt quickly under constraints, and make decisions in rapidly changing situations.
• Strong organization, dependability, and self-sufficiency.
• Flexible schedule to support fleet management across multiple time zones, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort using multiple technology platforms, cloud-based services, and Microsoft products.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of imaging, GIS, and remote sensing.
• Experience solving critical, real-time operational problems with technology.
