Façade Engineer

What you will do

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to develop façade solutions from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Design and specify high-quality façades that meet aesthetic and performance requirements.
• Manage the technical and financial aspects of façade projects, delivering them on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during installation and support successful on-site execution.
• Develop sustainable façade systems and concepts using materials including glass, aluminium, concrete, steel, and timber.
• Prepare drawings, reports, specifications, correspondence, and technical reviews of submissions against design intent.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in building or architectural engineering, architectural technology, architecture, civil or structural engineering, mechanical engineering, product design, or a related field.
• Knowledge of façade systems and an interest in structural, thermal, glazing, and other façade design areas.
• Knowledge of architectural detail design, building physics, and report writing.
• Experience contributing to medium- to large-scale projects.
• Ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, report writing, and computer modelling tools.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Danish or another Scandinavian language.
• Experience in conceptual design, façade detailing, structural analysis, cladding design, structural glass design, building envelope physics, or façade systems.
• Interest in becoming a member of the Society of Façade Engineers.
