Firmware Engineer (Fibre Channel/NVME)

What you will do

• Design, implement, debug, and test embedded firmware for 64G Fibre Channel/NVME host bus adapter products.
• Develop firmware features for target mode and error recovery.
• Create test cases and automated test scripts for embedded systems and firmware.
• Use protocol analyzers and debugging tools to investigate Fibre Channel, NVME, and PCIe behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites and support custom firmware features for OEM clients.
• Document development activities, test results, defects, and implementation details.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering plus 2 or more years of related experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields with related experience.
• Experience developing embedded firmware with C and Assembly.
• Proficiency in a real-time operating system environment and Linux-based storage or network protocol development.
• Experience with Fibre Channel, NVME, and/or PCIe protocol analyzers.
• Strong debugging skills, ideally including in-circuit emulation debuggers.
• Strong communication, documentation, software process, bug-tracking, problem-solving, and quality-focused skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and tuning high-performance firmware for ARM-based systems.
