TL;DR
Clinic Coordinator (Oncology) (Healthcare Administration): Coordinating complex oncology appointments and patient-facing clinic operations with an accent on high-volume scheduling, patient communication, and regulatory compliance. Location: 300 Boylston St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02459, United States; 100% onsite. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: $45,500–$54,400 per year

What you will do

  • Schedule complex oncology appointments across disciplines and monitor scheduling reports for accuracy and resource optimization.
  • Perform patient check-in and check-out, triage calls and requests, verify patient identities, prepare paperwork, and coordinate complex schedules.
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams using clear, patient-friendly language.
  • Provide customer service, de-escalate patient grievances, and escalate issues to clinic leadership when needed.
  • Recognize emergencies, follow standard operating procedures, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain patient-use iPads and troubleshoot operational and technical issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and complex computer systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information and comply with HIPAA and institutional procedures.
  • Patient contact is required through in-person, telephone, written, and email communication.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a customer service setting.
  • Experience training new team members.
