Senior Staff Communication Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Define and validate space system requirements, interfaces, technical parameters, and end-to-end compatibility.
• Lead the development of space architecture concepts, payload designs, antenna architectures, modem designs, and high-level hardware and software system architectures.
• Conduct system-level trade studies, performance analyses, and system integration activities.
• Develop concept of operations, technical proposals, demonstrations, design reviews, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate RF/Antenna, Electrical, Software, and FPGA engineering activities while raising program-level issues and driving complex programs forward.
• Represent hirify.global in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions across Europe.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of systems engineering experience with communications payloads, RF systems, or space and defense platforms.
• Strong background in communication theory, RF concepts, impairments, and their impact on system performance.
• Practical experience with antenna system design, integration, or performance evaluation.
• Experience with satellite communications standards such as NR NTN, DVB-S2X, or CCSDS, plus requirements management across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English is required; German language skills are a plus.
