Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Germany, hybrid work model (3+2)

What you will do

• Define, derive, and validate software requirements with customers.
• Manage requirements traceability, technical baselines, and configuration control throughout the software lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while coordinating technical activities, project milestones, and delivery progress.
• Review and approve technical documentation for compliance with standards, certification requirements, and customer expectations.
• Lead software qualification and certification activities with customers and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare project and technical status updates for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience delivering software-intensive avionics, aerospace, or mission-critical systems through the full development lifecycle.
• Expertise in embedded software development and certification processes, including DO-178C and ARP4754B.
• Experience working with civil or military aviation authorities, including formal panel meetings or Stages of Involvement.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI or machine learning applications in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
• German language skills.
